The State Eligibility Test (SET) Tamil Nadu examination held on 14th August 2011. This SET 2011 examination for the recruitment of Lecturers in Universities and Colleges in Tamil Nadu and Union Territory of Puducherry.
SET 2011 Tamilnadu Eligibility conditions:
Candidates those who have completed PG degree or pursuing are eligible to appear in SET. Other candidates need not apply.
Candidates should secured minimum of 55% marks (without grace or rounding off). For Ph.D degree holders whose master level exam completed by 19th September 1991 required minimum of 50% marks.
Candidates who have appeared for qualifying Master’s Degree Examination whose results are still awaited, and waiting for examination can also apply for this test.

Age Limt : No upper age limit
Exam Fee : The Examination Fee for general candidates Rs.100/- for other backward classes candidates Rs.750/- and for SC,ST, Physically Challenged, Visually Challenged candidates Rs.250/-. The SET 2011 exam application fees should be paid in the form of single crossed bank demand draft from any Nationalized Bank with the validity of 6months in favour of The Registrar, Bharathiar University, Coimbatore – 641046 payable at Coimbatore.
Tamilnadu SET 2011 Lectureship Pattern and Date of Exam
The SET 2011 test will consist of 3 papers. All the 3 papers will be held on same day. The SET 2011 exam will on Sunday 14th August 2011 in two separate sessions. The exam pattern as follows,
Session – Paper – Marks – Duration
First Paper 1 contains 100 marks – 9.30 AM to 10.45 AM
First Paper 2 contains 100 marks – 10.45 AM to 12.00 PM
Second Paper 3 contains 200 marks – 1.30 PM to 04.00 PM
