The following steps will help you to apply for the LPG Gas Connection:
- At the time of registration for new LPG connection, we need to carry the Xerox copy proof of address and proof of identity. (Ration Card is the must in Bangalore).
- After the registration, LPG Company will issue us the receipt on our name with date of registration and Registration Number.
- We need to keep safely that receipt. When our registration number for LPG connection will come, LPG Gas Company will inform us over phone and that time we have to produce the receipt of LPG registration, amount of charges we need to pay and Xerox copy of proof of address and proof of identity.
At the time of LPG connection registration applicant have to submit the Xerox copy of these two documents:
- Proof of Address/ Residence
- Proof of Identity
Any two documents from the following list can be submitted for the proof:
- Ration Card
- Electricity Bill
- Telephone Bill
- Flat allotment / possession letter
- House registration papers
- Rent Receipt
- LIC policy
- Voter’s Identity Card
- Passport
- Employer’s Certificate
- PAN Card
- Driving License
Note: In Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, as per the requirement of the State Government, Ration Card is a must for issue of new connection for prospective domestic LPG customer.
There is one new option to submit proof of identity and address proof, Applicants for new domestic LPG Gas connection for cooking can produce the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) issued letters of allotment of Aadhaar numbers. Even if we have a ration card, nowadays if we book a new connection we will get it after 3 months.
We can choose any of the following gas companies and can apply for LPG Connection in the office.
- Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (Bharat Gas)
- Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HP Gas)
- India Oil Corporation Limited (Indane)
